The directors of Cyprus Luxury Furniture Packs Ltd are delighted to announce the appointment of Jurgen Ullrich to the position of furniture designer. Jurgen has 11 years experience in furniture design, having studied at the respected Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design, Halle, Germany. Much of his career has been spent working for a leading German furniture manufacturer, where he worked on various contemporary furniture ranges before joining Cyprus Luxury Furniture Packs. Jurgen’s first task will be to design a new more contemporary range of furniture before working with suppliers to put the range into production. The new range will offer ultra modern design at an unattractive price and will be available in both Cyprus and the UK.

Commenting on his appointment Jurgen said “I’m very pleased to be working with Cyprus Luxury Furniture Packs, I’ve been given the freedom to create a new range of furniture, I have a clear vision of the finished product, the materials and the colour schemes. I have working already on my initial drawings and will enjoy to present them very soon”. Jurgen went on to say “It costs no more to make an ugly piece of furniture as it does to make one which you find pleasing to look at. There is no reason why this range cannot look good at a good price”.

The new range will add to the existing collections (Moda, Eleganza and San Marco) and will be aimed at owners who are looking for ultra-modern designs, yet practical enough for everyday use. The initial launch will be to customers buying in Southern Cyprus where the company already has an established customer base.  It is anticipated the new range, which has yet to be named will be ready in July 2011 and will comprise of Living, Dining and Bedroom furniture including Sofas and Rugs.

A spokesman for Cyprus Luxury Furniture Packs commented “We’re delighted to have made this appointment. Jurgen is a highly talented designer and will really add depth to our team. As a professional London Interior Designer, I meet with clients all the time who simply crave more originality and personality in their interior spaces. It is such a delight for the interior designer to be able to transform a house into a home by judicious use of lighting, stencils, photo frames, rugs and frames, to name just a few. Each of the different classes of accessories allows the professional interior designer to lean into a certain style, emotion or personality framework in order to create stunning results. In this article, I will draw on my experience in London’s design community to suggest a few great options if you’re looking to spruce up your home this winter with some interior designer magic.

LIGHTING. If there are nooks and crannies that just don’t get enough light, interior designers may recommend low-voltage illumination to make your interiors look larger and more welcoming. This can also boost your mood – perfect for the gloomy and overcast London skies that are all too common this time of year. Some professional interior designers will recommend theatrical lighting moods, so that you can flip between settings to choose either relaxed, or atmospheric and edgy, or task-orientated, all according to your needs.

COLOUR. The hue of the lighting system can substantially impact the overall look of a room. Incandescent filaments are now being phased out across the European Union, and London interior designers are having to rely instead on compact fluorescents or halogens to create custom effects.

Thanks to their long-life bulbs, LEDs can also be an attractive alternative to fibre optics. Interior designers love to design with LEDs because there is no remote light box to conceal – only a small transformer. Practical even for the most compact London urban gardens!
