Cyprus Luxury Furniture Packs are an experienced UK based firm who provide complete furniture solutions for properties in Cyprus. As the first independent UK retailer to supply stylish, readymade furniture packages for villas and apartments in Cyprus, CLFP remain committed to providing their customers with a hassle free, cost efficient service.

Frustrated with excessive costs, lack of choice, UK sourcing and not to mention language barriers, Cyprus Luxury Furniture Packs was founded by property investors Mark Sykes and Simon Gawthorpe. As many new homeowners in Cyprus experience the annoyance of furnishing their new property, CLFP has grown from strength to strength supplying, delivering and installing unique furniture packs for minimum cost and maximum quality. From pack selection to home installation, the team at Cyprus Luxury Furniture Packs ensure that furnishing your property in Cyprus remains both stress-free and affordable.

Mark and Simon remain extremely hands on and are there for their customers every step of the decision making process. They advise on product suitability, colours and electricals – even furnishings, linen, blinds and everything in between. However it is the installation team whose responsibility it is to deliver and install your furniture before ensuring you are left with a clean and tidy property which is ready for you to move in to or let out.

Tony Womersley is the installation manager for CLFP. He and his team work tirelessly to kit out your property and make your dream home in the sun a reality. Tony speaks from Cyprus on his challenging role within the company.

What is your day to day job role?
On a morning I will call the customer or developer and ask what time I will be able to access to the property. I then go to the warehouse and load the van with the product for that installation.

When we get to the address we will park in a suitable place and start taking the furniture to the property. Once all the furniture is in the apartment we will start to build the furniture up in each of the appropriate rooms. When the furniture is installed, all the packaging and rubbish is cleared away before I then go round the property and check all the correct furniture is there and set up correctly. Following that, I take pictures of the completed apartment or villa which I will later send to the customer. The final thing I do before I leave the property is call the customer to let them know their installation is completed and ask what to do with the keys.

How much time a year do you spend out in Cyprus?
That depends on how long the contract is. We normally do two or three weeks over here then maybe a week or ten days at home. At the moment I am installing 45 apartments which will take two and a half months to complete.

Who do you have working with you in the installation team?
We have a 3 man installation team. Myself, Adam and Ian

What is the largest project you have been involved with for CLFP?
The largest project I have worked on is the current one I am working on at the moment in Mazotos. We have 45 apartments to furnish here and potentially an additional 30.

How long does an average installation take?
An average installation normally takes one day to complete, however that depends on how many bedrooms the apartment or villa has. We furnish two bedroom apartments quite frequently and they usually take one day to complete.

What are the best and worst parts about your job?
The best parts and worst parts of my job are pretty much the same thing! I enjoy having time off and enjoying the sun at the beach or the pool, however doing this type of manual job in 45 degree heat in new apartments that are yet to have air con fitted, can be pretty hard!

The directors of Cyprus Luxury Furniture Packs Ltd are delighted to announce the appointment of Jurgen Ullrich to the position of furniture designer. Jurgen has 11 years experience in furniture design, having studied at the respected Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design, Halle, Germany. Much of his career has been spent working for a leading German furniture manufacturer, where he worked on various contemporary furniture ranges before joining Cyprus Luxury Furniture Packs. Jurgen’s first task will be to design a new more contemporary range of furniture before working with suppliers to put the range into production. The new range will offer ultra modern design at an unattractive price and will be available in both Cyprus and the UK.

Commenting on his appointment Jurgen said “I’m very pleased to be working with Cyprus Luxury Furniture Packs, I’ve been given the freedom to create a new range of furniture, I have a clear vision of the finished product, the materials and the colour schemes. I have working already on my initial drawings and will enjoy to present them very soon”. Jurgen went on to say “It costs no more to make an ugly piece of furniture as it does to make one which you find pleasing to look at. There is no reason why this range cannot look good at a good price”.

The new range will add to the existing collections (Moda, Eleganza and San Marco) and will be aimed at owners who are looking for ultra-modern designs, yet practical enough for everyday use. The initial launch will be to customers buying in Southern Cyprus where the company already has an established customer base.  It is anticipated the new range, which has yet to be named will be ready in July 2011 and will comprise of Living, Dining and Bedroom furniture including Sofas and Rugs.

A spokesman for Cyprus Luxury Furniture Packs commented “We’re delighted to have made this appointment. Jurgen is a highly talented designer and will really add depth to our team. We’re very excited about the new range and cannot wait to reveal further details as we progress bringing it to market.  There is a great deal of work to do in the coming months but we are confident the new range will be available from July”.

Cyprus Luxury Furniture Packs, the UK based specialist for furnishing villas and apartments in Cyprus are proud to sponsor the Paphos Tigers Fun Day being held on 12th September 2010. The aim of the fun day is to help the Tigers raise much needed funds and spread the reach of the game by encouraging people to come along, meet the team, watch the younger members of the squad and have a go at rugby, if they want to.

In particular the Tigers are keen to introduce the game to youngsters or to re-kindle the interest of former players. The funday will cater for all ages and offers something for everyone and will include; Rugby for all ages and abilities, Face Painting, Bouncey Castles, Food & Refreshments, Stalls, Competitions, demonstrations and a raffle with the main prize being a 32″ LCD Television donated by Cyprus Luxury Furniture Packs.

Simon Gawthorpe, founder and co-director of Cyprus Luxury Furniture Packs explained that he’d played rugby for many years and knows how beneficial it can be to the health and wellbeing of youngsters. “Having grown up in West Yorkshire, Rugby League is virtually compulsory. I developed a keen interest in the game at a young age and now realise how valuable the input of established clubs is to the development of grassroots rugby. In addition to the health benefits team sports like Rugby teach you to be disciplined and to be focussed on your role. In all valuable skills for the rest of your life”.

The Paphos Tigers were the first independent club in Cyprus. Originally founded by a group of South African players, the majority of the squad are either South African or British. The Tigers were league winners in 2008/9. The Tigers are sponsored by M1 Lux, Horizon Group and Mercato del Golfo.

Simon added ” there are parallels between our business and the Tigers. We were the first independent UK retailer to supply furniture packages for villas and apartments in Cyprus. We’re working hard to ensure people looking to furnish properties in Cyprus have access to good quality, stylish furniture at a reasonable price and without the hassle we had when we bought our first properties on the island almost a decade ago. If the property you are purchasing in Cyprus is to be a holiday let or part time home, some thought and time will have to be given on how you will furnish it. Remember there are many more items to purchase than you initially think of. As well as dining table, chairs, beds and sofas don’t
Forget you will need crockery, cutlery, bed linen, Curtains/ blinds, towels not to mention garden furniture so you can relax and enjoy the long, hot summers here in Cyprus. If you are an investor and want the property let out, clever furnishing will help you maximise your rental values and minimise your running costs. For example while most investors are looking to furnish as cheaply as possible it is worth spending a little extra to ensure the furniture you buy is durable and fit for purpose. If you live in the UK and this is your first time furnishing in Cyprus, prepare yourself for a culture shock. You might be expecting a vast choice of stylish, affordable furniture like in the UK; unfortunately there is much less competition in Cyprus. This means that the prices are high and the choice is quite limited. As visitors to Cyprus many of us are charmed by the laid back Mediterranean way of life. However this laid back approach is less charming when trying to get commitment on important details like delivery dates, especially if you are on a tight time line. Surprisingly you can still save £000s by using a UK specialist like Cyprus Luxury Furniture Packs (CLFP), who buy furniture in bulk and sell on at wholesale prices. This is a much easier option than trying to co-ordinate different suppliers, dealing with language barriers and the chance of deliveries being late. In the case of CLFP they supply everything from furnishings through to electrical items, linen, blinds and everything in between so you are left with a clean and tidy property which is ready for you to move in to or let out. With CLFP Furniture Packages delivered and installed from just £1,495 + VAT it is extremely good value too. For those on a budget or looking to spread the cost of furnishing their property in Cyprus CLFP can also arrange finance. Moving electrical items bought in the UK to Cyprus will invalidate any warranty. Due to lack of competition electrical goods can be expensive in Cyprus. Thanks to their buying power CLFP are able to supply quality branded electrical goods with 2 year Cyprus warranties for much less than Cyprus retail prices (when bought as part of a package). Your Cyprus property won’t be complete without some garden furniture. After all you will probably be spending a good deal of time in the open air, enjoying the sunshine. Outdoor furniture should be one of the items at the top of your ‘to get’ list. CLFP include garden furniture with most of their furniture packages. If you want to save money and furnish your property in Southern Cyprus with a minimum of hassle Cyprus Luxury Furniture Packs could be one of your best bets.

PostHeaderIcon Cyprus Luxury Furniture: First to offer furniture finance for UK buyers in Cyprus

Mark Sykes and Simon Gawthorpe, founding directors of Cyprus Luxury Furniture Packs are always looking for ways to make furnishing properties in Cyprus easier for their customers. Their latest offering is low rate finance (subject to status) on all furniture and related packages. This includes everything you’ll need to make your Cyprus property ready to live in or rent out such as; Furniture, electricals, cutlery, crockery, linen, décor and outdoor furniture.

Simon commented “Buying furniture for an apartment or villa in Cyprus can be expensive and time consuming so anything that makes the cost easier to bear has to be good, particularly in the current financial climate”.

The business was started as a result of the directors being property investors. “We’d been buying property in Cyprus for the last 9 years and over that time we had tried every way possible to get our properties furnished how we’d like them”. This meant sourcing stylish furniture, durable enough to withstand year round use from people renting their properties but at a reasonable price.

Mark went on to explain “The obvious choice was to deal with the local furniture suppliers, however most of their stock is aimed at the domestic market and is quite old fashioned pine furniture, which doesn’t really look right in a modern apartment or villa. In particular it doesn’t really hold much appeal for people looking to rent your property out. Also it’s very expensive, I guess due to the lack of competition on the island. Next up we decided to bring our own furniture from the UK, this was costly on a small scale and the paper work and customs procedures we’re quite daunting, in all this did give us the furniture we wanted, but it was such hard work and took most of my holiday allocation for that year”.

“After furnishing our own properties we started to get enquiries from developers and other investors asking where we got our furniture from. They were in the same position, they didn’t want to spend a lot of money on the wrong furniture, but they didn’t fancy the hassle of doing the job themselves either. We did some rough calculations and realised if we could get enough interest to fill a 40ft container the shipping cost and effort might be viable”

“We’ve been fortunate enough to secure the same suppliers as used by many of the mid to top end furniture retailers in the UK. Except because we buy in bulk and sell to our customers at somewhere between trade and retail we can also absorb the shipping and installation costs making us exceptional value for money. With the addition of finance we are hoping to be able to help UK investors spread the cost of furnishing their properties while still benefiting from our low prices and fully inclusive service.”

PostHeaderIcon Bringing Premium Outdoor Furniture to Cyprus

As you’ll no doubt agree, one of the most important aspects of your property in Cyprus is the outside space. With long hot summers, refreshing sea breezes and low precipitation you’ll want to make the most of your outside space. Particularly if you are used to the UK climate.

Choosing the right outdoor furniture is key to this. Cyprus Luxury Furniture Packs, the UK company specialising in furnishing properties in Cyprus have a superb range of outdoor furniture to suit all tastes and budgets. Surprisingly their most popular range by far is the top end maintenance free premium furniture sets. Then again if you are going to spend a lot of your time outside, entertaining and relaxing, it makes sense to invest in something that will do the job and last for years.

This year the team at Cyprus Luxury Furniture have been working very hard to keep up with demand for their top end outdoor furniture. Mark Sykes, Operations Director explains why. “We like to ensure we supply our customers with good quality products which will help get the most out of their properties in Cyprus. We’re always on the look out for furniture to help us do this, I think the success of the range is more than enough demonstration that yet again we’ve got it right.”

Asked why the people were splashing out on high end furniture in the current economic climate Mark explained “The product is actually good value as it is designed to last a long time and requires little or no maintenance. The furniture is upholstered with what we call All Weather Wicker. It’s an environmentally friendly (compared to Wicker or Rattan) synthetic weave with amazing properties making it the perfect material for outdoor furniture. First and foremost it is very comfortable and stylish. In addition to this it can withstand all weather and temperature conditions, it’s fully U.V. resistant, colourfast and stretch resistant with inhibitors to resist mould and mildew”.

The frames of the furnishings are manufactured from aluminium and are powder coated before the All Weather Wicker is hand woven. The result is a stunning range of outdoor furniture which includes, chairs, tables and sun loungers. All of which can be left outside year round without the need for any maintenance. For more details on the range of outdoor furniture please contact Cyprus Luxury Furniture on 0845 258 2315.

PostHeaderIcon Buying a Cyprus Property Still Under Construction

It may

as a strange idea, actually buy real estate before it is even built, but it seems that is how things are done in Cyprus. Most developers in Cyprus was not even a foundation, until some of the homes were actually sold and 25-30% of the cost was paid for the property. This is good news for them because they come this way they always have a constant supply of money to pay ongoing construction costs. The balance of payments of property in Cyprus are then programmed in three stages by 25%, that the various phases of construction are paid at the end. These are generally: the complete hull roof, then the final interior plaster, such as tiles, etc..

Despite the drawbacks of the state which is in most of your home in Cyprus’s still under construction, during and after ever set foot in this system has worked well in Cyprus for many years. The obvious difference between the purchase of property, while Cyprus and Great Britain is in real estate construction that you pay only after completing the course, all developers in the UK Cypriot community or require some sort deposit or booking fee. At the time of publication of this article requires a real estate developer in Cyprus offer during construction would be around £ cy2000 site for thirty days after the date of first payment of 25% reserve would become due.

If a contract is inclined to buy a property in Cyprus under construction by a developer, you need to use the services of a local lawyer. The good news is that the legal system in Cyprus is very similar, we talk in the UK and most of the lawyers or their employees very good English too. You should check your contract carefully and spend all that you are not sure with your lawyer before signing. The contract not only forms an agreement between you and the developer to complete the specifications of your villa or apartment in Cyprus, it is your right to ownership of property is created by a separate document.

Because most real estate construction in Cyprus is carried out on arable land in rural or old, there is a single certificate for the developer spent. That is why it is unlikely that your title is given to all properties on the development is completed and all services have been installed ect. The main objective of the contract between you and the sponsor of your property, Cyprus is still under construction, to fill this gap by specifying your bridge property. Once the title deeds for each property which they then win the contract will be levied.

There are some important points to be aware, however, before diving in and a part of your life savings. First, all properties are located in a developing country office has a separate title deed issued unchanged. In other words, all extensions of buildings or structures that were not on the original plans of Cyprus developers began construction of the building could be the title for each property to jeopardize the development. It could even something as barbecue areas and pergolas with solid as tiles or planks of dollars to keeping an eye on what your neighbors are covered.

The other thing that many buyers in recent years on the road, the costs begin to receive their titles! Thats right, you have a property tax on the purchase price of your property in Cyprus as it was being built to pay. There is a sliding scale in terms of property value and is based on the date of publication of this article was as follows
3% on the first CYP50, 000, 5% over the next CYP50, 000 followed by 8% on the entire additional amount of CYP100, 000. You would be well advised that provision for “hidden costs” when budgeting for the purchase of real estate, Cyprus is still under construction and even some properties in the second hand.

A dream home with a breathtaking interior design is waiting for you amongst the variety of luxurious New York City real estate options offered by Elliman.
